Such a beautiful piece of writing. "You do your mammogram, you do your colonoscopy, you go home. That’s not care. That’s administration."

I would like to add to it "you deliver a whole baby- a complete and functioning human being- and you go home". You come back for one check up after 6 weeks. You get asked about PPD AFTER 6 WEEKS.

And yes, the peptide problem is real and has gone out of hand and the worst part no body admits to it. Everybody is just magically losing tremendous amount of weight, they have accumulated for years, in a few months. We wouldn't have reached this point if our primary care system didn't fail the patients. From access to continuum; it's just all so complicated and burdensome. And that system is also failing its physicians too. Anyway, it IS a hot peptide summer indeed haha.

The line about people not mentioning their peptide stack because they file it under "wellness" not "healthcare." That's exactly the same blind spot I see in the preconception space. Women are stacking supplements and cycle trackers for months before trying, and half of it never comes up at the annual physical because it doesn't feel like a medical decision. Same fragmentation, just earlier in the timeline.
